About

PokeSurvivor drops you into an open field with one starter, a basic attack that fires on its own, and a timer that never stops. Waves of wild creatures pour in from every edge of the map, and your job is to stay alive long enough for your kit to grow. Every run starts small โ€” a single weak attack, slow movement โ€” and ends, if you get that far, as a screen full of beams, orbs and area blasts clearing hundreds of enemies a second.

## How a run is built

The loop is simple to read and hard to master. Defeated enemies drop experience gems; collecting them levels you up; every level offers a choice of upgrades. New attacks, passive stats, evolution pieces โ€” the choice you make at level 4 shapes what the choice at level 20 can be. A run that picks every damage option plays completely differently from one that stacks cooldown and area, and both can work if the pieces connect.

The waves do not stay polite. Minutes pass and new enemy types appear: fast chasers, tanky blockers, ranged shooters that punish standing still. The map is big enough to kite in but the edges close in as density rises, so positioning matters almost as much as the build.

## What makes it stick

Each run ends in one of two ways โ€” a wall you could not break, or a boss you could not dodge โ€” and both point at what to fix next time. Maybe the single-target damage was fine but the crowd control came too late. Maybe the movement speed never kept up with the wave pace. The next run starts, the level-one choice comes around again, and the plan adjusts.

Bosses break the rhythm on purpose. Huge health bars, clear attack patterns, and enough pressure that dodging matters more than dps for a few seconds. Beating one is the checkpoint that says the build is real.

## Who it is for

PokeSurvivor suits players who like the creature-catching world but want the pace of an action roguelike instead of turn-based battles. Runs are short enough to fit into a break, deep enough to chase for weeks, and the upgrade drafts mean no two clears feel identical. If you enjoy pokerogue runs or survivor-likes in general, this one keeps the same one-more-run pull.
